JLL named Philippines Property Awards 2017 co-sponsor

Entering its third decade in the country, JLL Philippines marks a milestone

Global real estate and investment management firm JLL is officially on board as co-sponsor of the 5th annual PropertyGuru Philippines Property Awards 2017.

For two decades now, JLL Philippines has supported the growth of the local property sector by helping real estate owners, occupiers and investors “achieve their business ambitions.”

“JLL has been operating in the Philippines since 1997, and the company has seen how the industry grew by leaps and bounds since then. With a more robust economy, Philippine real estate has never been more alive. And this is timely, as JLL Philippines is celebrating its 20th year and supporting the Philippine Property Awards is a really good way to mark the milestone,” the firm said in a statement.

The company added: “The Awards aim to recognise the outstanding work of our developers, and we at JLL believe that these developers play a big role in nation-building.”

In the past 20 years, the Philippine property market has witnessed the boom of the BPO (business process outsourcing) industry, paving the way for more office space demand and expat and young professional residential surge.

“Real estate provides homes, commercial structures and boost tourism,” said JLL. “Its significant contribution to the economy and this country cannot be underestimated. Being a co-sponsor of the Philippines Property Awards is JLL’s way of showing our gratitude for all the success we have experienced this past 20 years.”

Recently, JLL Philippines ventured into its first luxury residential sales project, expanding its business in the country even further.

Outside the Philippines, JLL has over 50 years of experience in Asia Pacific, with 36,000 employees operating in 94 offices in 16 countries across the region. Globally, the Fortune 500 company had nearly 300 corporate offices, operations in over 80 countries and a global workforce of more than 77,000 at the end of 2016, with a reported revenue of USD6.8 billion and fee revenue of USD5.8 billion, USD60.1 billion of real estate under asset management and, on behalf of clients, managed 409 million sqm of properties.
